Colombia
Colombia is famous for his excellent coffee and the purity of it's emeralds, it
is also the home of the legend of El Dorado and the magic universe of Macondo,
it is a country full of culture and traditions.
Colombia has a very convenienet geographical position:
Located in the north-western zone of South America it is bathed by the Pacific
Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.
In Colombia the mountain range of the Andes splits into three, contains a big
part of Amazon, a large quantity of forests, desert, snow-capped mountains,
plains and beautiful beaches for which the country has been catalogued by many
as a country that is immensely rich in scenery and unexplored areas.
The climate in Colombia is changes from the extreme cold in the snow-capped
mountains, up to the warmest at the sea level.
It has two dry and two rainy seasons but a uniform, constant temperatura is
maintained.
Colombia is one of the most biodiverse countries in the world, occupying the
third place with number of live species, the second place in species of birds
and approximately 45.000 species of plants what is equivalent to 20 % of whole
of species in the planet. The majority of the foreign tourists who visit the
country come from nearby countries of Latin America, the Caribbean, North
America and Europe.
At El Paraíso Spanish Language School we teach the skills and necessary
knowledge in Spanish to share cultural experiences that allow one to express and
to understand more about Colombia and the rest of Latin America. Our teachers
and administration staff are committed to provide a quality experience for each
of our students, every step of the way.
For its part, El Paraíso Spanish Language School fulfills social part in
Colombia through the voluntary work of our students in the development of
communal projects and by providing disadvantaged communities the opportunity to
improve one’s quality of life by learning English by providing accommodations as
host families.
