There are basically 2 ways of travel from Bogotá to Periera, by plane of by bus/car travel.

We do recommend plane travel but if one really wishes to travel by bus, the option is there.

Flying

Pereira’s international airport Airport Matecaña.  From Europe and USA one arrives to Pereira via Paris, Madrid, New York via Bogotá with Avianca airlines
This is the fastest route.
One can also arrive with Copa Airlines via Panama city, Panama.

Airport pick up: we can arrange a private pick up at the airport for $ 30 US

By Bus
In Bogotá buses depart from the bus terminal called Velotax, “La Terminal” , module 1 also called the yellow module.
Recommended buses are the Express Bolivariano, Express Arauca and Velotax,

From Pereira, Terminal “Transportes de Pereira”
This terminal has various levels and on each of them different transport companies are located, Express Bolivariano is on level 2, Velotax is on level 3.
The trips by bus take between 7 and 8 hours in length, providing there are not any accidents or any other delays on the road.
There are delays many times due to weather conditions and the trip can take much longer.
This route is safe to travel.

BOGOTA-GIRARDOT-IBAGUE

Km 0: From Bogotá, capital of Colombia, exit via the hiway to the SOUTH.
Km 5: Keep to the right towards Melgar.
Km 39: Town of Silvania.
Km 51: Town of Fusagasugá
Km 81: Boquerón
Km 99: Military Base Tolemaida
Km 113: Keep to the left towards Girardot
Kn 120: Town of Girodat
Km 185: Entry to the city of Ibagué, musical capital of Colombia, región of Tolima

IBAGUE-ARMENIA-PEREIRA

Km 0: City of Ibagué
Km 4: Exit city of via the main hi-way to Cajamarca and ditection of city of Armenia
Km 6: Bridge over the Combeima river.
Km 13: Entrance to the Martinique park.
Km 44: Entrance to the town of Cajamarca.
Km 69: The legendary Top of The Line (Alto de la Línea), the hardest climb in the country for any type of vehicle. Not recommended unless one is an expert drivers due to the hardness of its topography, very difficult climate and heavy traffic of trucks in both directions.
Km 92: Keep to the right to city of Armenia.
Km 103: Entrance to Armenia, the capital of Quindío region.
Km 147: City of Pereira, the capital of Risaralda region.
Km 149: Town of Dosquebradas.
